Senior Project Worker - Belinda Drury

Belinda works part time for Kerrier On Track. Current projects that Belinda is involved with are below:

- Time for Me - This is an 8 session programme for Year 3 students. This programme is aimed at building confidence, self-esteem, awareness of issues around friendships, bullying, hygiene (personal and around the home) and safety (personal and around the home).

- Beanstalks - This is a 10 session programme for year 1 or 2 pupils aimed at building confidence, improve inturn taking, listening skills and co-operation through the media of play and puppets.

- Groups for Parents - 10 session programme looking at various aspects of parenting, mostly appropriate for parents of children up to adolescence. Groups are held every school term in various venues. See What's On page to find out when the next one is due to start.

- Domestic Violence Awareness - Working in partnership with the Domestic Violence Forum this is a pilot project delivering a 2 hour domestic violence awareness session with teaching support staff in the Kerrier On Track schools. This project will be evaluated and fed back to the Education Authority (Michael Rutter), hopefully in February 2006, with a view to it being rolled out to many other schools.
- Domestic Violence Awareness one days training day can be arranged for other professionals when requested, again in partnership with the Domestic Violence Forum.

- 'Know Limits' - Working in partnership with the Cornwall Alcohol and Drugs Agency (CADA), a 4 week programme designed to help parents communicate effectively with their older children/young people about using alcohol and cannabis.
