Project Worker - Duncan Yates
Duncan works part time for Kerrier On Track. Current projects that Duncan is involved with are below:

- Time for Me - This is an 8 session programme for Year 3 students. This programme is aimed at building confidence, self-esteem, awareness of issues around friendships, bullying, hygiene (personal and around the home) and safety (personal and around the home).

- Beanstalks - This is a 10 session programme for year 1 or 2 pupils aimed at building confidence, improve inturn taking, listening skills and co-operation through the media of play and puppets.

- Junior Youth Club Consultation with young people and adults in and around Nancegollan. Extensive discussions with local adults in Nancegollan, working towards a day long event at the end of the summer where local young people and their parents ere asked to comment on the kind of Junior youth provision that would make sense to them.
- Junior Youth Club consultation with young people and adults in and around Illogan. Extensive discussions and networking with local youth and adults from a diverse range of agencies in the Illogan area, working towards a sustainable input for local young people at the end of January 2006.

Digital Music composition sessions working with a small group of young people from Humphry Davy school, I have worked since late October with digital music technologies to enable the young people to first of all compose and edit their own music on a laptop computer and then to teach a small group of disabled children from nearby Nancealverne School to produce digital music. Work has begun in composing lyrics to be put to the digital beats.Tunes in progress were recently showcased at Humphrey Davy school's assembly.
Digital Music composition sessions working with a small group of young people from Mullion youth club,over a three week period, a short taster course in digital music composition as sell as with live instruments, using electric and acoustic guitars and African drums.

School Council project. An introductory meeting has taken place in Connor Downs Primary School , the school council set up process begins in early January 2006.

- A breakfast group meet at the Illogan Well Being Centre once a month. The group is open to fathers and other male carers and their children. A free full English or vegetarian breakfast is offered as well as a chance to meet other dads, enjoy the extensive parenting library, get advice and support around opportunities for fathers and children as well as general parenting support and a chance to be involved in positive play.
