- A breakfast group meet at the Illogan Well Being Centre once a month. The group is open to fathers and other male carers and their children. A free full English or vegetarian breakfast is offered as well as a chance to meet other dads, enjoy the extensive parenting library, get advice and support around opportunities for fathers and children as well as general parenting support and a chance to be involved in positive play. To find out when the next one is, call 01209 711927 and ask about the breakfast group.
- Friendly and informal parents groups run at the beginning of every term . Would you like to have a calmer family life with less shouting and find positive ways to discipline children that really work? Then this could be the group for you. There are 10 sessions with refreshments provided. Childcare is provided and travel can be negotiated. The next groups are starting week beginning 23rd January 2006.
1. MON morning - Broad Lane Chapel, Broad Lane, Illogan - 9.30am until 11.30am
2. WED morning - Lounge Area, Carn Brea Leisure Centre, Pool - 9.30am until 11.30am

- 'Know Limits' - Working in partnership with the Cornwall Alcohol and Drugs Agency (CADA), a 4 week programme designed to help parents communicate effectively with their older children/young people about using alcohol and cannabis.
The next taster session is 10th January 2006 9.30-10.30 at Sure Start, Lescudjack, Penzance.
The next 4 week programme will begin the following week from 10.00-12.00 at Sure Start, Lescudjack, Penzance, where childcare will be provided.
